Privacy Notice

A reading room runs on trust. This notice explains, in plain terms, what personal information passes through Mentisvertex and what we do with it.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Mentisvertex, 2F, 14 Dongmak-ro 9-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul 04068, South Korea. Privacy questions go to [email protected] or +82 2-6105-4827 on weekdays. Mira, our glossary curator, doubles as the privacy officer and reads every privacy letter herself.

What we collect

Reader mail. When you write through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address, chosen topic, and the text of your letter. Program enrollment. If you join a reading path or commission a briefing, we keep your contact details, your intake letter, attendance at table calls, and payment confirmations. The website. The site itself sets no analytics and no advertising trackers. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and operation; we do not combine them with reader identities.

Why and how long

We use reader mail to answer you — nothing else. Enrollment records are used to run your program and to meet Korean tax and accounting obligations. Reader mail is kept for one year after the conversation closes, then deleted. Enrollment and payment records are kept for the five-year period Korean tax law requires, then destroyed. We do not build profiles, score readers, or send marketing you did not ask for.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. Data leaves the room only where the law requires it, or where a service provider processes it on our behalf under contract — currently our email hosting and our payment processor for program fees. Both are bound to handle the data only on our instructions.

Your rights

Under Korean data-protection law you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and ask us to stop processing it. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within ten days. If you believe we have mishandled your information, you may also raise the matter with the Personal Information Protection Commission or the Korea Internet & Security Agency's privacy center.
